Most of the children legal issues arise from dysfunctional families, the ideal set up for a child to grow and thrive as authored by God is within a family set up.

Most of the children legal issues arise from dysfunctional families, the ideal set up for a child to grow and thrive as authored by God is within a family set up, often time families break and if the separation is not well managed to support the ongoing relationship, they leave a myriad of problems for the innocent children. We advocate for family strengthening by applying mitigating factors e.g., encouraging mediation, dealing with underlying mental health issues and supporting the mothers with financial empowerment (Income Generating Activities (IGAs).

To support families for the sake of children as guided by our constitution Art 53 and 159, Children ACT 2022, ACRWC, UNCRC and All other relevant laws and regulations, to achieve the following-;

  • Pursue Judiciary led family centred interventions and rehabilitation
  • Prevent mother/ child family separation
  • Gender Equality and Equity
  • Economic Empowerment for women and teenage mothers

In the best interest of the child, we believe that when mediation is encouraged and given sufficient chance and effort put, then quite a good number of marriages may be salvaged in the interest of the minors therein. We have seen tremendous numbers of successful mediation. Court process is generally adversarial in nature and as that they in most cases tear the parties wider apart and hence coparenting becomes very difficult.

Media, Civic Education and Sanitization – to encourage the public to embrace mediation as a form dispute resolution and the judiciary to consider advancing ADR and encourage Alternative Justice system (AJS).

We do research by collecting, analysing, and recording information to increase knowledge and provide evidence for findings, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and accountability.
